Members nets morning
#1
On Tuesday morning at the indoor school is the return of the members nets morning from 10 30-12. They had 6 sessions before Christmas, and when work allowed i went along. I Found it really good getting coaching, even at my age of 52 i had the best piece of batting advice i have ever had. I really needed it as i am a regular 10/11 batsmen. Before xmas there were a couple of retired people who hadn't played since school, and they really enjoyed it so it doesn't matter what ability you are. It really is an enjoyable morning, coffee provided, don't have to pay for parking. Another good part i enjoyed was having a coffee, talking with other people, and watching the pros train.  So if work allows or you are retired i really recommend this event to you. A good idea from the club so well done to them.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd love to go but not sure I can justify the trip from Reading during the week!

Nice gesture by the club; good to see a tradition revived and a good way to build a better rapport between members and the club.
Bears fan, Wolves fan, blood red Socialist, a not so vital statistician; what a collection...

It should be noted it is not free, cost is £5.

Would you go if it was free Ken?

No, my active cricket days are behind me. The annual members nets day is more interesting because of forums etc. Good value if you wish to take part in physical activities and receive coaching tips. I would pay £5 to see you facing the bowling machine at an appropriate speed!

90 mph would be much more fun for everyone (except Simon, of course).
A bit like Brett Lee bowling to Piers Morgan:
