James Wainman
#1
We have signed another 26 year old Left Arm seamer (as well as Lester) - this one on a short term contract.  Yorkshire released James Wainman at the end of last season.  He did turn out for our Seconds in a pre-season Friendly in April - and has played for Kent, Northants & Worcester 2nd's (taking 3 for 34 against us !) and Lincolnshire MC, while trying to get a contract elsewhere (and has done OK).  He sounds a better prospect than Lester, but we shall see.

He never got to play a First class game for Yorkshire, but did play 4 x One Days (taking 5 wickets, with a 3 for 51 best and scoring 51 runs, with a top score of 33) and 2 x T20's.
You can take the boy out of Atherstone, but you can never take Atherstone ........... !

Farbrace has obviously decided two players are needed, to replace Keith Barker!

Wainman's 2nd's bowling record over the last couple of years is much the same as Lester's, but he is by far the better batsman.  Toby Lester is a genuine Number 11 (and that is generous!).

Lester sounds like a ferret - he goes in after the rabbits.
